The Project Vanity Top 20 Skin and Hair Care Finds in 2015

How does one even begin to pick just twenty things to rave about at the end of the year? I remember there being a lot of products that I loved at first, but they ultimately didn’t end up in my regular routine. To simplify the process of choosing I just sifted through my dresser and counter. If the product is there, then it deserves the space because I use it often enough to keep it on hand! I am totally patting my back for that idea, hehe. It’s easy to get discouraged combing through all my posts and all the stuff I have at home instead.

And so here we are. Check out my top 20 skin and hair care finds last year! Please just click the links for the full reviews.

Estee Lauder Nutritious Radiant Vitality 2-in-1 Foam Cleanser. This smells fantastic and lathers so luxuriously. The Nutritious is my favorite skincare line from last year - it’s so good and delivers on its promise to brighten skin.

Shiseido Perfect Whip. I originally loved the Shiseido Speedy Perfect Whip Cleanser but IMHO the original formula is better. I love the denser foam! it almost feels like the Shiseido Ibuki, but at a waaaaay cheaper price point. I got mine from HK and Tokyo but locally there's a seller at BeautyMNL.

Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush. This is the best way to regularly yet gently exfoliate the skin. I have the attachment for acneic skin and I like that more than the regular one since the bristles are softer.

Bioderma Sebium Global. This is my go-to whenever I’m breaking out. It heals acne quicker while helping control out too! It has powerful exfoliating and pimple-drying ingredients such as AHA, citric acid, and salicylic acid. I use it only when I need it though because it can be a bit harsh for everyday.

The Body Shop Drops of Youth Eye Cream. I cannot believe I didn’t blog about this! It’s my most-used eye cream this year! I love the cool gel texture. It’s effective in hydrating my eyes without causing milia around it.

Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50 PA++++. My HG sunscreen! This raised the bar for sunscreen with its lightweight, streak-free gel formula combined with UVA/UVB protection. You gotta try this out if you haven’t yet! Forgot to add this in the picture since it’s in my tennis bag.

Estee Lauder Nutritious Rosy Prism Radiant Gel Emulsion. This is possibly the lightest moisturizer I’ve ever had the pleasure to use. It brightens my skin and feels like nothing once it dries. It’s fantastic under makeup and for extra humid days when I just want to feel like my skin is naked.

Gel De La Mer. I am obviously crazy about gel moisturizers, and La Mer I feel is at the top of the pyramid. It’s lightweight like the EL Nutritious but it moisturizes skin far more. For some reason whenever I use it regularly my skin just heals faster from the stresses I place on it.

The Body Shop African Ximenia Scrub. Can’t have enough of TBS’s cult salt scrub. This new one from their Spa of the World line is creamier and more luxurious.

Lux Magical Spell Fragranced Body Wash. This is the bomb! I love the floral smell and how sudsy it can be with just a small amount. Honestly, with Lux around, I don’t feel the need for expensive body wash.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Sorbet. The tart orange smell of this body lotion (more like silicon really since that what it feels like, like primer) makes me kilig! I use this when I want a body moisturizer that doesn’t feel sticky in the heat

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Oil. An all-around product, this oil can be used for the body, face, hands, and hair. I love the smell and how it doesn’t feel oily at all once it dries.

Zenutrients Gugo Hair Strengthening Shampoo. This works in strengthening hair and keeping it from falling off too often. It takes time but I can swear by the results, at least on my own hair. It's a bit drying though so you'll need to use conditioner or serum right after!

Dear Beauté Himawari by Kracie Oil In Shampoo. It's perfect for dry, fine hair like mine! Most hydrating shampoos tend to weigh my hair down but not this one. I love how soft my hair feels after washing with this - I don't even need conditioner.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner. Everybody, and I mean everybody, is gaga about this conditioner. It. Just. Works. So. Well. I can't live without it! I use it once or twice a week to keep my bleached hair in check.

Tony Moly Make HD Silk Argan Oil. I used to exclusively stick to Kerastase for my hair serum, but now that I've found a cheap alternative that works just as well, I may not ever have to go back. It makes my frizzy hair feel shiny and flowy, and keeps tangles at bay. Love it.

Lush Shampoo Bar in Honey I Washed My Hair. Is traveling your thing? Then I'm sure you'll like these Lush Shampoo Bars as much as I do! Honey I Washed My Hair smells deliciously sweet. It perfumes my luggage and functions as a body soap and shampoo in one. So handy!

Nivea Facial Cleansing Wipes. These wipes are technically a find from December 2014, I know, but I just have to add it here. I’ve used up so many packs already, and I just love how effective it is for the price it sells. Can’t argue with a 140-peso pack of wipes!

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloth. I also adored these Cetaphil cloths. They’re wetter and thicker than Nivea so they remove makeup faster, but the price is a bit high for wipes. Still a winner.

Leaders Coconut Bio Mask. I didn’t like or use facial masks before…until I tried Leaders. I shit you not, this is the best mask brand ever. It makes my skin look awesome after just one use! I apply it right before I sleep and then I wake up with a glow. Then I store the extra essence in the fridge and use it as a night moisturizer!

Hope you found this list useful! What were the products that rocked your kikay world last year?
