The Project Vanity Recap: The year that was 2017

If I can summarize my 2017 in one word, it would be courage. This is the year that the Project Vanity Team and I went out of my comfort zone (such as it were) to go for new things we had never considered before. Project Vanity is more than a blog, as I like to say - it's a community this year more than ever, with the birth of the Project Vanity Community Page on FB and regular live videos that also tie with in-store exclusives and events!

This is also the year we launched the PV Review Crew, a hand-picked group of 100 women who will rate and review the latest products. We've already started with the first two items for review - stay tuned for the verdict soon.

We also had an amazing 9th anniversary celebration at The Podium, which over 200 readers and friends attended. It was an amazing day, full of inspiration from Cosmo girls and amazing female entrepreneurs whom I personally look up to. This makes me excited to think about our 10th anniversary in March (wow, so soon already) - what would you like to do and see then? Let me know!

Our proudly Philippine-made skincare line In Her Element has also been pretty busy, with the release of new products such as the Rose Gel Serum Moisturizer (a fan fave!), the Low pH Rose Gel Cleanser, Triple Treat Eye Cream, and the Glow Job 5% Glycolic Gel Cream. We're now also available in Beauty Bar - we hope you can visit soon and try IHE if you haven't yet! We're proud to offer clinical formulations for sensitive skin, and it really showcases the natural talent our country has for producing high-grade ingredients and skincare products.

We also released three more shades of the Pink Sugar x Project Vanity These Lips Don't Lie Crayons. A rosebrown, cinnamon, and roseplum was added to the initial line of four lippies. These are available at Pink Sugar counters nationwide in Watsons and SM Beauty! As always, we're so thankful to Laveen and Rohit Mirpuri for trusting us with the very first blogger lipstick collab in the country.

We've had countless events with our amazing brand partners this year as well. Have you attended one? Which is your absolute favorite? Mine would have to be the Beauty Discovery in partnership with Guerlain, Shiseido, and Elizabeth Arden in SM Makati! It was great to explore the different signature looks of each brand in the demo.

And that is that. <3 Our infinite thanks to you, PV Readers (all 2 million of you!), for always supporting Project Vanity's products and events. I also want to thank the PV Team for tirelessly creating awesome content for the website, joining me in my live videos on Facebook, and even interacting with everybody on the PV Community Page! It's been such a great year - challenging, yes, but fulfilling - and I can't wait to see what 2018 has in store for all of us.
