The JLo x Inglot collection is now in the PH - here's what happened at the event

From being ‘Jenny from the block’ to becoming a film actress, Jennifer Lopez has always worked in front of the camera. For the first time ever, she’s stepped behind the scenes to collaborate with European cosmetics brand Inglot to create a massive 70-piece collection that is now available here in the PH!

Inglot is brought to the Philippines by the Laverne Luxe Group composed of sisters Michelle Laverne Lim-Gankee, Hazel Laverne Lim-Lee Hok, and Pauline Laverne Lim. At the exclusive launch event, the Laverne sisters introduced the much-awaited celebrity collab. “The Jennifer Lopez capsule collection is filled with JLo’s go-to beauty products in her favorite colors. It also includes the Inglot signature Freedom System Palett,e which allows women to create their own personalized makeup combinations.

The collection features four layouts of a limited edition JLo Freedom System palette to fit Inglot Freedom System products such as eyeshadows and blushes. Celebrity moms and Inglot women, Andi Eigenmann and Sarah Lahbati, are huge fans of the Freedom System and shared how it gives them the perfect solutions to their busy lifestyles.

Andi’s current life at the beach doesn’t permit much space for a huge makeup collection, especially since she commutes back and forth between the beach and the city. She explains, ”I don’t need a stash of makeup just to get one or two shades that I want. So, it makes sense for me to buy Inglot not only because of its quality but because it has a freedom palette that allows me to have all my favorite colors and makeup in just one case.”

On the other hand, Sarah enjoys how Inglot is known as “the healthy makeup.” She says, “I love that Inglot is cruelty-free and paraben-free. It’s guaranteed to be safe on skin – even during pregnancy! I feel so inspired to learn that JLo and I share the same philosophy in choosing the brands that we use. I am passionate about representing strong femininity and being fearless in facing life.”

Inglot-affiliated makeup artist Jim Ryan Ros staged a catwalk featuring five iconic JLo looks for five key products. I caught him for an exclusive interview and he shares that “I love the entire collection! The colors are so amazing and really do capture that bronzy, glowy, and youthful yet glamorous look that JLo is known for.” And if he had to choose just one product to get? “My favorite is ‘Livin’ the Highlight Illuminator (P1,895). It has a heavenly glow that simply screams class!”

Since I got to work backstage as a makeup artist and got really intimate with the products, my own pick is the Pure Pigment Eye Shadows (P1,195.) These loose eye shadow powders have star-power shimmer, and each shade has a pretty unique sparkle whether worn alone or over different eye shadow colors. The lipsticks are also worth a try. They glide on creamy and are very pigmented – the colors are also perfect! I think it really does make a difference when the makeup creator is morena as well. Here are just some of the swatches:

I feel the collection is really strong on highlight/glowy products and nude-colored products. These are the signature JLo makeup features after all. It’s pretty exciting to have such a huge collection that works with tan or morena skin, and coupled with Inglot’s known professional-quality makeup, it’s pretty hard to find fault with this 70-item-strong collection!

The JLo x Inglot collection is available in Inglot stores at SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, TriNoma, and Glorietta 3.
