Beauty Roundup: Spotlight Brow Studio Duo, Issy Holiday Sets, Olivia Rodrigo for Lancôme, and Paris Hilton’s 11:11 Beauty

Two is better than one, as the saying goes. This edition of the Beauty News Roundup is a duo of unexpected duos! The first part are new local releases from Spotlight and Issy, and the second half is all about the latest celebrity beauty news of Olivia Rodrigo and Paris Hilton.

Spotlight Cosmetics New Brow Studio Duo

I’m surely not the only one who uses a brow pen + browcara combo on a daily basis. Well if you’re like me, the newest release from Spotlight Cosmetics is made just for us! Appropriately named the Brow Studio Duo (P495), this brow product has a retractable pencil on one side and a laminating brow gel on the other. Bonus: the laminating brow gel is formulated with castor oil, not only making sure brows stay in place, but also promoting brow hair growth. I also like how the brow pen side has a slanted tip, making easy work of both outlining and filling in sparse areas.

It comes in six (6) shades: Dark Brown, Black Brown, Taupe, Mocha, Almond, and Burnt. I appreciate the variety in shades and undertones! You’ll surely find a good shade match. It’s such a steal at only P495. Make sure to check them out wherever Spotlight Cosmetics is available, in-store and online!

Issy Cosmetics Holiday Sets

Issy Cosmetics has released a slew of ready-to-gift holiday sets! Issy makes monochromatic looks easy peasy with their Monochromatic Color Set (P899), which includes a Crème Cheek Blush, Hydragloss, and Lip Bullet in a singularly cohesive colorway. Lip tint lovers will be drawn to the Lip Tint Duo (P699), which contains a pair of similar-toned Gelée Lip Tint and Mousse Lip Tint.

And now we’ve arrived at the exciting part: the Issy Try-Me Sampler Set (P199). If you’ve always wanted to try Issy lip and cheek formulas, but can’t quite settle on a shade, this one’s for you! Each Try-Me Sampler Set allows you to try ALL shades of seven (7) products namely: Creme Cheek Blush; Lip Bullet in True Matte, True Velvet, and True Satin; and Solar Balm in Glow and Natural. The sets come in perforated blister packaging, which allows for hygienic use (and gets plus points for cuteness). All lippie trial sets come with a teensy applicator brush, to boot! I don’t know about you, but I’m getting the ‘gotta-catch-em-all’ feeling, and it doesn’t help that as of writing, you can get all 7 sets for only P999 online! Whether you’re gifting for your besties or for yourself, check out these new holiday giftables from Issy online or in-store.

Olivia Rodrigo for Lancôme

Yes, you read that right: Olivia Rodrigo Is Lancôme's newest Global Brand Ambassador, joining the ranks of Amanda Seyfried, Joy Sunday, and Emma Chamberlain. Françoise Lehmann, Lancôme international brand president, shares in a press release,“I am incredibly proud to welcome Olivia to the Lancôme family. We’re all captivated by her striking personality and immense talent, and inspired by her commitment to positive change—which we value deeply at Lancôme—pouring her true heart and emotion into everything she does. Turning personal stories into music that resonates universally, few artists of her generation connect with this many people across continents and generations like Olivia."

The Grammy-winning artist shares in a press release, "Embracing your individuality is so important in beauty since there are many unrealistic expectations placed on young women today. Lancôme is an iconic and timeless brand that promotes beauty from within and I am honored to be part of their family." Her announcement photos definitely embody that timeless look, courtesy of makeup artist Melissa Hernandez and of course, a full face of Lancôme staples. Olivia’s flawless complexion is boosted by Teint Idole Ultra Wear in the shade 345N and Blush Subtil Powder Blush in the shade 345 Rose Fresque. On her lips is the L’absolu Rouge Cream Lipstick in the shade 132 Caprice De Rouge. Of course her lashes and eyeliner are *chef’s kiss* thanks to Lancôme bestsellers Idôle Liner in 01 Glossy Black, the Cils Booster XL Enhancing Lash & Mascara Primer, and the Definicils High-Definition Mascara in 01 Black.

I definitely did not see that one coming! Getting the Gen Z music icon is such a Guts-y move (see what I did there?) for the traditional beauty brand. I feel like we’re getting some exciting new product launches with Olivia Rodrigo as Lancôme’s new face. I very much look forward to that!

11:11 Beauty by Paris Hilton and Guthy-Renker

Following the success of her 11:11 Media venture, Paris Hilton has set her eyes next on the beauty industry. Working with California-based health and beauty giant Guthy-Renker, the hotel heiress is set to launch 11:11 Beauty by next year. She says in a press release, “I’m so excited to partner with Guthy-Renker to bring my vision of high-tech, high-performance beauty and wellness routines to people around the world. I’m obsessed with our first collection set to come out in spring 2025 and can’t wait for the world to see everything we have in store.”

To that I say, “that’s hot!” What do you think this partnership will bring?

And that’s it for this week’s roundup of beauty news! I hope you liked the dual mix of local and global news snippets I had for this edition. See you on the next one?
