Happy weekend, PV fam! It’s time for another beauty roundup, and boy, do we have a serious scoop! We’ve got Glossier’s latest launch (perfect for the summer tbh), a 90’s duo and their makeup comeback, as well as MAC’s second Selena collection. We’re also talking about elf Cosmetics’ big purchase this 2020!

Sky(wash)’s the limit!

As we wrap up another month, we welcome a new one with a big launch that’s got people buzzing. ‘It’ brand Glossier has just dropped their newest makeup product, and it’s perfect for the summer! Skywash ($18) is a liquid-to-powder eyeshadow that gives a diffused soft, blurred effect around the eyes, perfect for everyday wear. The formula is well-pigmented, and can be built up to a bolder eye look. Choose from seven shades: Pool (cornflower blue), Pebble (taupe), Echo (cocoa brown), Terra (burnt sienna), Valley (peach), Palm (gold beige), and Lawn (bright green). Push it, push it good

Whatta woman, whatta woman, what a mighty good woman! Okay, we may have changed the lyrics up just a bit but this news has the 90’s kids in us freaking out! Milani just announced that they are bringing back the 90’s with their latest collaboration with Salt-N-Pepa. The makeup brand has teamed up with the power-rocking duo to create a collection that screams women empowerment, individuality, and all of the awesomeness of the 90’s. The Salt-N-Pepa x Milani Collection includes two eyeshadow-and-highlighter palettes (Hot, Kool and Vicious, and Very Necessary) at $19.99 each, and two lip kits (Push It and Shoop) at $11.99. Viva La Reina!

It’s been four years since MAC dropped their first Selena Collection, and thanks to tons of fans clamoring for more, they’re busting out a second drop! In honor of Selena Quintanilla’s 25th anniversary, MAC is working closely with Suzette Quintanilla, Selena’s sister, for a colorful collection that captures Selena’s vibrant spirit and great taste. MAC also announced that they’re re-releasing the MAC Bidi Bidi Bom Lipglass, (bubble gum pink with silver flecks), which was a crowd favorite at its the last drop. No word yet on what this second collection will look like but it’s set to drop in April of this year! We can’t wait!

Nothing like starting a new decade with a huge new purchase -  just ask elf Cosmetics! The makeup giant has just acquired clean beauty brand W3ll People for a whopping $27 million dollars. With a desire to expand their makeup portfolio and delve more into a clean beauty space, this acquisition was a no-brainer for the brand, allowing them to further pursue a possible step into clean beauty. Although only sold in specialty stores and select tie-ups, W3ll Beauty has actually been around since 2008 and has a strong and loyal following. With this new acquisition, it’s possible that more retailers will now be able to carry the brand and allow consumers to test them out. We’re actually curious to try their Bio Base Baked Foundation ($22.39), Bio Extreme Lipglosses ($14.99), and the Expressionist Volumizing Mascara ($19.99).
