She’s nailing it

Get ready ‘cause it looks like Kylie Jenner is taking over the world! The 21-year-old beauty mogul has expanded her Kylie Cosmetics lip kit kingdom to include palettes, powders, and a full blown skincare line. So what’s next for the youngest billionaire? According to The Blast, Kylie has filed trademarks for nail care products (which include removers, strengtheners and polishes) as well as acrylic and artificial nails, and fragrances! It looks like we can soon look forward to having crazily bright and long nails just like Kylie, and smell like her, too.

Guess who’s back, sort of

After what has seemed like forever and a day, beauty guru Jaclyn Hill has resurfaced on her YouTube channel to explain just what’s been going on since her lipstick fiasco. Despite deleting all of her social media accounts (except YouTube), Jaclyn has returned with a 19-minute video with an update on her cosmetics company and what has happened so far. Although she didn’t address the many rumors that have been circulating regarding her brand, she did own up to the “failed launch” and explained that she didn’t have a large enough quality control team to check on the lipsticks. She admitted that she was so focused on the brand and hyping it up that she may have missed out on many key parts. The decision to delete her social media accounts is part of her efforts to rebuild her brand, as she is hiring a new team and starting from scratch. What do you think of this development?

Diamonds are forever

They say diamonds are a woman’s best friend, and that couldn’t be more true with Charlotte Tilbury’s latest launch! Combining our love for sparkle and makeup, the British beauty mogul has launched the new Pillow Talk Diamond Lipsticks ($34) - a reformulated range of her best selling lipstick shade! Infused with mineral-based glitter pigments, sunflower seed oil, and hops extract, these lipsticks are super hydrating and easy to swipe on. There’s also emollient oil for an extra glossy finish and microcrystalline wax to soften the lips. The new collection comes in 2 finishes: Pillow Talk Diamonds (light pink) and Lucky Diamonds (brown nude). Shop the new lippies on the Charlotte Tilbury website here.

Blonde Salad in the PH

Remember when we gushed about fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni collaborating with Lancôme for a makeup collection? Well, the line just dropped in Sephora PH! The collection includes the Flirting Makeup Palette (P4,896.86), the L’Absolu Lacquer Liquid Lipsticks (P1,999.55), and the L’Absolu Mademoiselle Shine Lipsticks (P1,917.94).
