I finally emptied a few things (and it feels amazing)

Don't believe a beauty blogger or a magazine editor when we say that something is a "must-have". No beauty product is a must-have because, honestly, you can live without lipstick or foundation if you set your mind to it. That's just how it is! However, if you're inclined to and can afford to be vain, it's pretty fun to try out new products and techniques regularly. Let's call it a hobby, the success of which makes us feel more confident and accomplished - as personal projects never fail to do. :)

empties

Now, I've recommended dozens of products to you guys in the last few months alone, but what do I actually use up? I didn't consciously know that myself until I did an inventory for this post. So, here are my empties - stuff that I've finished or am about to finish! ^_^

Shiseido Ibuki Softening Concentrate and Gentle Cleanser. I am, and still a huge fan of the Shiseido Ibuki line. I've been using a few new products lately but my core skincare is still Ibuki - something I go back to in between new product tests. Actually, these bottles are the second batch of Ibuki I've finished up.

Happy Skin Make a Clean Sweep Makeup Cleanser. This is a really good, non-irritating makeup remover that uses the power of micellar water to take away dirt from the skin. I enjoy using it, but I still stand by what I said in my review - it's still kinda pricey for a face makeup remover considering there are other drugstore brands that can do the same thing.

I'd be willing to pay more for a lip and eye makeup remover, since I don't have to use a lot of product each time.

J&C Makeup Brush Cleaner. I've had this for a while so I find it really sulit for the P400 price tag. It dries quickly and melts off the makeup from my tools without fuss! I also like to use it for cleaning my makeup cases and - are you ready for this? - shoes. It melts off smudges and dirt. Try that sometime with your brush cleaner. ;)

Messy Bessy The Little Warrior Hand Sanitizer. This smells divine! It's my favorite alcohol currently. Aside from using it to sanitise my hands and cosmetics, I spritz a bit of this on my dog's wet towel before I wipe him clean.

Zenutrients All-Around Spahnitizer. I love the smell of ginger and tea on anything. I spray this around the condo whenever I need to be energized and excited about my day.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime. Hands down still my favourite hair oil slash dry conditioner. It's like P2,000+ bucks per bottle but I find it worth the price! It takes me up to a year to use up one bottle.

Burt's Bees Shea Butter Hand Repair Cream. Love love this formula. It does have a rather medicinal herby smell, but it gets absorbed quickly enough. My hands are not leathery pieces with moving digits because of this Burt's cream.

So there you go. Have you emptied a beauty or beauty-related product recently?
