Staff Picks: Peek into the Project Vanity Team's kikay kits!

Here at Project Vanity, we don’t see makeup as just mundane things - they’re weapons that help us look pretty and feel more confident. So you can bet that we’ll always be armed and ready to face the world with the help of our well-picked kikay kits. Here's a peek at what we use to battle stress and haggardness brought by everyday challenges!

Liz: On a normal day, I prefer to do my full face at home and then just retouch with powder and lipstick when I need to. But that'd be not-so-interesting to look at, haha! Here's what I bring if I have to apply full makeup on the go. I placed everything in the new Project Vanity Kit (I have extra empty ones hehe, perks of being the boss)! This pouch was custom-made. It's my ideal version since it's slim yet roomy with three compartments.

Inside: Lunasol Pink Sparkling Eyes Duo, Smashbox Photo Filter Creamy Powder Foundation, Shiseido Perfecting Stick Concealer, NoTS Lip Shimmer Gloss, K-Palette Lasting 2Way Eyebrow, Browhaus Precision Eyeliner in Black, Inglot HD Lip Tint Matte in 17, Muji Powder Brush, Etude House CC Cream, Snoe Sculpting Powder, and Travalo atomizer filled with Jo Malone Lime Basil and Mandarin Cologne.

Den: I'm often on the go, so I find it necessary to pack all my makeup essentials in a single kit. I was actually pretty amazed at how much product my kit contains! I don't carry it around everywhere I go, but if I'm in a rush and need to do my face in the car, it's easy enough to just toss this into my purse. Pretty much everything is Project Vanity-approved because I rarely buy makeup and only do so if it's been reviewed here. I have several brow products because I'm obsessed, haha! Also, there aren't any lip products only because there isn't any room left.

Face: Happy Skin Don't Get Mad, Get Even Hydrating Liquid Foundation, Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream, Happy Skin Get Cheeky With Me blush in Summer Fling, Etude House Surprise Essence Concealer

Eyes: theBalm Autobalm palette, in2it Waterproof Eye Colour Set in 05 Suedes, Happy Skin Eye Am The One mascara, Benefit Gimme Brow brow gel, Maybelline 24H Coloring Brow Mascara, MUFE Pro Sculpting BrowTony Moly Lovely Eyebrow Pencil, Happy Skin Eye Am Here To Stay gel liner in brown, Kate Tokyo Super Sharp Liner

Tools: SOFFIA Opulence Perfect Skin Angled Foundation Brush, Marionnaud No. 32 angled blush brush and No. 38 double-ended brow brush, Ecotools concealer brush and blending eyeshadow brush, random eyeshadow brushes, a small plastic vial filled with Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Solution

Jorj: I don’t bring a lot of beauty stuff with me when I leave the house because I like putting on makeup at the comfort of my room. So my kit contains just a few items: a compact pressed powder that has a mirror (Revlon ColorStay in Medium), a lip balm (Maybelline Baby Lips), tissue, and a lipstick (Essence lipstick in Natural Beauty and Wet ‘N Wild lipstick in Bare It All). In this case, there are two tubes of lipsticks because I forgot to take the other one out. LOL. But that’s it.

Marielle: I don't have a tiny touch-up kit like others do. I always need to have a kikay kit that contains enough products to do a full face on the go, because there are times when I have to rush somewhere and do most of my makeup in the cab. Brow products, especially, are never forgotten as I sometimes need to correct what I've done at home.

Clockwise from top: Nars Deep Throat Blush, Benefit The Porefessional Agent Zero Shine, K-Palette Zero Kuma Type 2 Concealer, Fashion 21 Eyebrow Gel in Light Brown, The Face Shop Style My Eyebrow #3, Etude House Berry Delicious Colour Lips In RD304, and Tarte Tartelette Tease Eyeshadow Palette. Pouch from Maybelline.

VB: I always carry a full kikay kit, because my job requires me to meet people and, well, I sometimes change looks midday. Plus, I'm a lip product junkie, so it isn't uncommon to find at least three lip products in my bag. Yes, I change the lip color assortment every day except for the lip balms.

Top row (L to R): ELF Flat Top Powder Brush, Maybelline Hypercurl Waterproof mascara, contact lens case, Human Nature Mineral Loose Powder in Soft Ivory

Bottom row (L to R): Menow Long Lasting Lip Gloss in #22 (dries to matte!), Monomola Lip Tattoo in Cherry Red, Clinique Chubby Stick in Mega Melon, Human Nature Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Orchid, The Body Shop Shea Lip Butter, Marionnaud Double Ended Brush, BYS Eyebrow Gel, The Face Shop Oil Control Water Cushion in Apricot Beige

Angela: I don't usually bring a lot of makeup in my bag (I just have lip balm and powder) because I prefer to do my makeup at home. But when I need to put on full makeup outside, I bring a choice of lipstick and/or lip gloss (so I can choose) and the essentials. I love liquid tint on my cheeks because it stays on all day. I also bring my Calmoseptine ointment because my skin is really sensitive. This suits rashes and insect bites.

(1-14): Pink Sugar Eye Candy palette, Marionnaud eyeliner brush and eyebrow spoolie, Kanebo Stage Color foundation in shade 22-A, a sponge, Lipfusion Infatuation in shade Full Frontal, Burt's Bees tinted lipbalm in Pink Blossom, Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy in Rebellious Rose, My Lips Eat Cherry in Juicy Red, Nichido precise eye pencil in Tiger Eye, Maybelline's Great Lash mascara, Johnson's baby powder, Marionnaud powder brush, F&S Cosmetics eyelash curler, and Calmoseptine ointment.

Stacie: I always carry a makeup pouch in my school bag and what I have is very basic. I have Tony Moly Cat's Wink Clear Pact which doesn't offer much of a coverage but I like that it doesn't cake on my skin even after layers and layers of it. On Mondays, I have one lip tint in my pouch but by the end of the week, I'll probably have about eight lip products. I don't have a signature tint but I always have one "emergency" tint for days when I forget to bring or wear a lip tint: Aritaum’s Water Tint in Cherry Rose, because it's lightweight and easy to apply even without a mirror. Lastly I have a travel sized version of Clinique's Happy in Bloom in case I feel like wearing perfume.

Separated from my pouch are three lip balms - Burt's Bees Honey Lip Balm, Burt's Bees Tinted Lip balm in Honeysuckle, and Nivea Fruity Shine in Cherry - that I keep inside my pencil case.

Kim: When I do my makeup away from home, I like using products that I can apply with my fingers because I dislike bringing brushes along. That being said, my everyday slash travel makeup kit is just a blush and eyeshadow palette short from being a full makeup bag. I usually have a minimum of two lipsticks, which I also use as blush and sometimes as eyeshadow. The BYS Conceal & Correct Palette, I also use for some slight highlight and contouring action.

Notice that I have a sunblock in my kit as well! In case of unanticipated overnight stay, I make sure I'm still covered. I also bring makeup removing wipes everyday but it's too big to fit in my kit.

(T-B, L-R): Pink Sugar Dual Finish Face Powder in Natural Beige, BYS Conceal & Correct Palette in 01 Camouflage, Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick in 420 Rebellious Rose, FS Luscious Lipstick in Matte Brick, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in 003 Mauve It Over, Yadah Oh My Sun Block, Miniso BB Cream, Clean & Clear Oil Control Film, K-Palette Essence in ShadowLiner, Daiso Eyebrow Pencil in Brown, Essence Lip Liner in 06 Satin Mauve, and Heavy Rotation Long Volume Dynamic Mascara

Rae: I don't bring a lot of stuff. My "makeup bag" at the moment is the pocket on the lining of my office bag, which usually contains just two things: a compact powder with a mirror and whatever lipstick I am wearing for the day. Right now, what I have in my bag are Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Powder in Rattan and Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope in Private Party.

Katsy: I usually just carry the following to get through the day should I feel the need to use them (except for lip balm which I really tend to use all the time): Avon Ideal Oil Control Pressed Powder Tropical Paradise Edition in Neutral, Yojiya Blotting Sheets, Daiso Eyebrow Pencil, Lanolips Banana Balm, and Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Honeysuckle. Then I'll just add a lipstick depending on my mood for that day. :)

What does your kit look like? Do you bring your entire arsenal or just keep a few choice products?
