My life is glossier now that I have Revlon's new lip balm and gloss hybrid

Is the Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme (P375 for 7 grams) a lip gloss or a lip balm? The answer, for me, is both. I was pleasantly surprised by these new gloss balms from Revlon. Off the bat, I thought they looked like a basic lip gloss, but I found them more interesting due to the fact that they feel more like an ultra glossy lip balm than anything else!

I love that the Plumping Lip Creme doesn’t feel tacky or plasticky. It has a nice warm vanilla scent with a light minty kick to it. These are supposed to “volumize lips over time” but hmm, I don’t see that happening. They do give an instant plumping effect due to the glossy finish but nothing outside of that, I think.

The pigmentation is sheer; even so, they give a nice even color to the lips and it has the added effect of filling in lip lines. I would say the Rich Bordeaux and Cashmere Creme to be the patchiest of them all, but everything else goes on the lips pretty evenly. Shades like Barely Blush and Spiced Berry can definitely be worn alone if you just want an everyday hydrating lip color that you can easily retouch without a mirror.

I’m disappointed to observe that the deeper colors do not leave a stain. Staying power is about three hours, which is just pretty average for a sheer balmy color. These don’t flake on me.

I love using these as a lipstick or lip liner topper when I need a gloss that doesn’t dry out my lips. I highly recommend Apricot Silk, Barely Blush, and Spiced Berry out of the eight shades currently available! Just set your fave lip liner with these and you’ll be set for the day.

My bare lips, for your reference. I have pretty thin lips, as they go.

Overall, I quite like the Revlon Kiss Plumping Lip Creme and will definitely keep a few for myself. They’re basic, but they’re comfortable and makes my life glossier. Funny, now that I think about it, I don’t keep around any lip glosses until these Revlon ones came along! ^_^

By the way, Revlon has a promo on these right now: you can get the Kiss Plumping Lip Crème plus any of the following ColorStay Lip Liner, Super Lustrous Lipstick, or Balm Stain for ONLY P600. That’s not a bad deal! Let me know what you think, as always.

This story is brought to you by Revlon.
