Six drugstore products that makeup artists can't live without (Part 2)
We love taking a peek into other people’s kikay kits. It’s fascinating to discover what products they can’t live without or what brands a celebrity like Heart Evangelista is a fan of. The purpose is mostly to “discover” new products via a collection of HGs, so the kit of a professional makeup artist particularly appeals to us! Some MUAs have already shared about the drugstore items that they consider to be staples, so we decided to dig a little deeper and find out what others have to say. This time around, we talked to professional makeup artists Angie Cruz, Randy Sta. Ana, and Paul Unating for their own great yet affordable finds.
Evian Facial Spray (P199 for 50ml at major department stores)
A clean canvas is a must prior to any makeup application. The pro choice to do the job? Randy uses Evian Spray for prepping his clients' faces because it cleanses and hydrates the face while maintaining its natural pH.
L'Oreal True Match foundations
Curious how MUAs achieve that flawless base each and every time, even with acidic skin? Randy shares that instead of regular colorless primer, he uses either L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup (P600) or L'Oreal True Match Liquid Foundation (P600) before either traditional or airbrush foundation. These bestselling foundations prime the skin while providing a color-matched base. Because it’s layered under another foundation, a perfect shade match is achieved even if the client might have acidic skin.
K-Palette eyebrow products
Even a veteran like Angie recommends K-Palette eyebrow products for everyone's kilay goals! Choose from their 3 Way Eyebrow Pencil (P795), Real Lasting Eyebrow Liner (P795), and 2 Way Eyebrow Liquid (P895). She explains that it's a favorite since the effect is very natural-looking and long-wearing aside from being easy to use.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (P299 at major department stores)
Paul loves using the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in its darkest shade, Cafe, for contouring in place of powder or cream contours! The trick is to blend it with his favorite foundations for a more flattering and long-wearing contour.
Flormar Invisible Loose Powder (P699 at major department stores)
To set the look, Paul loves this finely-milled powder because it does not leave a white cast on the skin. The formula also does not emphasize lines or rough patches, so it can work well even for women with uneven skin textures.
