As someone who’s dealt with acne for so long, numerous trips to my derma taught me that a consistent skincare routine and different treatments can only do so much. Over the years, I’ve learned that what we consume can also make or break our skin.

While there’s a lot of drinks and vitamins in the market that promise better skin, I was on the lookout for something that’s proven and tested to work on acne -- something to help me deal with cystic acne which I often get whenever I’m on my period.

I came across Lactezin,a clinically-tested over-the-counter anti-acne pill  that helps treat and prevent pimples. Unlike other supplements that I saw before, Lactezin uses Lactoferrin, a natural antibacterial active to treat acne. Lactezin also has Vitamin E and Zinc, which are known to help improve skin’s health from within, giving you a healthier glow.

Lactezin came just in time for me -- I was on my period and was dealing with a cystic pimple on my chin. Cystic pimples are more painful and they usually take a while before they shrink. I was worried because the last time I had a cystic pimple a few months back, I had to take antibiotics and deal with infection.

I took the pill twice a day, after a full meal. I didn’t change anything on my skincare routine and I also opted to skip my usual spot treatment just to see the effect of Lactezin on my skin.

I didn't notice much difference on my second day of taking Lactezin on my acne, but I noticed that my skin felt and looked so much better. I usually deal with dull skin when I’m on my period, but my skin was soft, smoother, and had that rosy glow that even my teammates were teasing me about ‘looking fresh’ when our boss asked us to turn on our cameras for a brief moment.

On my third day, my cystic pimple was starting to feel less painful -- the redness lessened and it wasn’t as swollen as before. I could also tell that my skin’s health was definitely better -- my skin was bouncier and smoother.

I was surprised that on my sixth day of taking the pill, my cystic pimple flattened. It was the first time that this happened to me, as I usually wait for my cystic pimples to shrink on their own or I go to my derma for treatment. The smaller pimples were also no longer visible, and my skin never looked better. I usually get that glowy skin after a trip to a dermatologist and it’s been more than a year since I saw one so I’m surprised to see my skin looking this good again.

I’m only halfway through the two week period, but I already saw drastic results from using Laczetin. In just six days, my cystic acne has flattened  and my skin is already looking so much better than before -- my skin’s definitely healthier and clearer!

As for me, Laczetin will definitely be a part of my daily routine. I’ve seen what it can do for my skin in just six days so I’m looking forward to seeing what it can do more for my skin in the long run.
