Rave: Kracie Ma & Me Latte Shampoo Is So Good To My Sensitive Scalp

I have a terribly sensitive scalp so it’s not easy for me to review hair products nor come to love them in the long term. But I can say with confidence that this Japanese shampoo - one formulated both for postpartum moms and their babies - is a staple in my everyday routine at this point. I’ve been using it since March (around six months now) and it is the best shampoo I’ve tried in a while.

Where do I begin? The Kracie Ma & Me Latte Normal Series Shampoo (P695 for 490ml) is made for those with sensitive scalp using plant-derived ingredients and amino acids to help women dealing with postpartum hair damage. Obviously I don’t have a child, but I think anyone who has thinning hair and a fussy scalp can benefit from the way this shampoo is formulated. It has a mild scent and it’s moisturizing WITHOUT weighing my hair down. Because I have super fine hair, my main requirement for shampoo is for it to not flatten my strands with too much emollient or cause it to be oily. This shampoo passes that hurdle with flying colors!

Usually, I can never use cream shampoos like this straight for several days because my scalp tends to get irritated but I’ve never had that issue with Ma & Me. I even went to Italy bringing just this shampoo and it’s all I used for two weeks! My hair was happy all that time.

I’ve been very active this year, so I gym three times a week and tennis at least twice a week. I love how the Ma & Me shampoo kills that sports smell especially since I like wearing hats. It also effectively dislodges oil and sweat from my scalp and hair but without stripping them dry.

This shampoo is also quite economical to use. You basically get half a liter of product for the price (most shampoos are 150-250ml only) but on top of that, a small amount goes a long way! As I mentioned above, I’ve been using this for six months and it’s still far from being finished. My guess is I still have about 30% of shampoo left even with my daily usage.

So yeah, I highly recommend this if you’re looking for shampoo that cleanses without irritating and moisturizes without weighing your hair down. It’s great value for the price too, something I always look out for in items I use every day. Let me know what you think in the comments!
