New from In Her Element: The Deep Sleep Retinol Oil is the evening serum you need to try out

Retinol, aside from sunscreens, is one of the best age management ingredients out there. I first got onto the bandwagon with this beautiful sleeping oil from a luxury brand. It’s fantastic - my skin did get smoother and plumper because of the retinol - but man was it expensive! I also found out that my skincare brand’s small but loyal group clamored for a retinol product that really works for their skin, without being too expensive.

So, I worked on something that was more affordable and easily available here in the Philippines. Now we have the In Her Element Deep Sleep Retinol Oil (P695 / 20ml)!

Deep Sleep is an evening oil serum that contains hydrogenated retinol, a less irritating, slow-release form of retinol. Retinol is a powerful ingredient for encouraging the skin to naturally produce more collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin, which then results in smoother, plumper skin with less lines and wrinkles.

This beautiful oil is lightweight but moisturizing. We used a light base (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, a compound of coconut oil and glycerin fatty acids) so that it doesn’t feel greasy on the skin especially when you wake up in the morning. Other star ingredients and Kendi Oil and Meadowfoam Seed Oil, which are rich in antioxidants. We’ve also included Sandalwood Seed Oil for that light luxurious, relaxing scent to put us in the mood for deep sleep.

All you need is a few drops of Deep Sleep at the end of your evening skincare routine just two to three times a week. You can skip moisturizer too, if you like, but I recommend using moisturizer for best results especially if you’re new to retinol. Retinol may be irritating to first time users as the skin acclimates (purging may also occur) so you can use moisturizer as a buffer for the first few times you use Deep Sleep. You can then increase the amount and frequency as your skin gets used to retinol. Don’t forget to use sunscreen to protect your skin as the retinol works its wonders!

It’s also important to note that retinol is not recommended for new mothers. It’s best to skip it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

And that’s it! I hope you get to try our proudly Filipino brand’s newest product. Right now, inherelement.ph is 15% off sitewide as an extra treat, so don’t forget to add to cart!

In Her Element is available online at inherelement.ph, Lazada, Shopee, BeautyMNL, and Beauty Bar retail stores.
