Dermaction Plus by Watsons: What to try from this affordable brand with a full range of skin-care options

This story is brought to you by Dermaction Plus.

Remember the Dermaction sunscreen I reviewed last March? I ended up finishing the tube! It’s a really good formula that I especially enjoyed at the beach since it’s water-resistant. Dermaction is actually popular for their sunscreen line, but did you know that they have other products as well? Let’s explore everything!

The one I’ve tried is the Dermaction Advance Sun Care Water Drop Cream Gel (Php399 / 40ml). This is best for everyday wear, as it will go on well under makeup. If you’re swimming or going to the beach, you can opt for the Advanced Sun Face & Body Lotion (Php499 / 150ml). Dermaction also formulated something for acne-prone skin called the Advanced Sun Zinc-Acne Prone Gel (Php299 / 40ml). This has zinc PA that helps calms acne as it is an anti-irritant. For those with oily skin, there’s the Dermaction Plus Sheer Matt Invisible Balm for a friendly, non-oily finish.

This skincare brand also has an acne care line. Dermaction Plus’ Anti-Acne range has ingredients like salicylic acid, zinc PCA, and niacinamide to help calm acne flare ups. The line has options for a daytime and night time routine. Start with the Purifying Facial Gel (Php249 / 100ml) for cleansing, then follow with the Skin Toner Clear Lotion (Php599 / 130ml), SOS Spot Corrector (Php399 / 10ml), and Day Lotion (Php599 / 40ml) for your morning steps. At night, incorporate the Anti-Acne Cleansing Water and Night Essence (Php549 / 40ml).

Did you know Dermaction Plus also has a selection for men? For the record, men don’t need separate skincare as their skin is the same as women’s skin, but I do know that some men like their products’ packaging to suit their personal aesthetic. I think that’s where skincare targeted specifically for men comes in handy.

There’s a Facial Foam Wash (Php249 / 100ml), Intensive Serum (Php549 / 30ml), and Day Essence SPF (Php599 / 50ml). It’s a pared-down routine for guys who don’t like one that’s too involved! We like our five or ten steps, but some people just want three. Honestly, we don’t really need more than that if our skin is low maintenance or unless we enjoy the ritual of applying products for self-care purposes.

Do try Dermaction soon and let me know how it goes! You can find the brand in Watsons stores or Watsons online.
