What makes cushion makeup so popular? We like to think it's because it's more fun and at the same time quick to apply. It starts off sheer but can be added on easily and corrected when necessary. It's perfect for newbies and pros who just need something convenient yet functional!
Makeup companies, from the hottest Korean brands that first developed the technology to major global players, are continuously releasing their own versions of cushion makeup. While there are concealer, blush, and even liner cushions now, the main focus is definitely on BB cushion compacts, which promise a K-idol glow in just a few pats. Here are some classics and new releases that you might want to consider if you’re new to the cushion compact or looking to try a different brand!
LANEIGE BB Cushion Pore Control
You may have seen this brand in the recently concluded mega hit K-drama “Descendants of the Sun” used by Song HyeKyo’s character. What’s unique about this BB cushion is the applicator puff that is an anti-bacterial Air Cell sponge, which makes that soft, even finish possible. I personally love this one for its ability to cover up my pores and semi-matte finish, but they also have variants for Anti-Aging and for Whitening.
