Do you miss the Project Vanity weekly beauty roundup? Well, you’re in luck because it’s back, and I’m so excited to share the latest beauty happenings with you all. It’s a happy Friday, indeed, because we’ll be talking about the newest face of Tom Ford, Estêe Lauder’s 75th anniversary, MAC’s Wander.Lust Collection, Chanel’s No. 5 Factory Collection, and the latest on Kylie Cosmetics!

Estée Lauder’s Diamond Year

Estée Lauder is celebrating its 75th anniversary, and we’re all invited to join in on the celebration! Reflecting on their founder’s legacy, the brand is reminding us all of what Mrs. Estée Lauder represents - hard work, innovation, confidence, beauty, and passion.

Did you know that Mrs. Estée Lauder created the first-ever night serum back in 1982? Yes, your bottle of Advanced Night Repair was first called Night Repair, and it marked a new era in skincare history.

Crash Landing on Tom Ford Beauty

Internationally acclaimed South Korean actor Hyun Bin is Tom Ford Beauty’s first fragrance attaché. Hyun Bin fronts the new Tom Ford Private Blend Soleil Brûlant fragrance, which takes inspiration from the golden sun and offers a secluded island escape. Think of it as your own private summer.

Expect the blend of sun-kissed freshness of mandarin and bergamot with spicy pink peppercorn, and the seduction of orange flower absolute and radiant black honey that melts into the burnished warmth of amber. Soleil Brûlant will be available online at Rustan’s and in Tom Ford counters this coming August.

#PinoyPride with MAC Cosmetics

MAC’s newest limited edition collection is called Wander.Lust, a collection of bullet lipsticks that celebrate the rich culture and unique style of our favorite cities. The lipsticks represent three key Philippine cities - Manila, Cebu, and Davao. To capture the essence of these cities, MAC collaborated with Filipina graphic designer Raxenne Maniquiz.

The Wander.Lust Collection comes in three of MAC’s bestselling shades - mid-tone mauve pink Mehr for Manila, dirty peach Mull It Over for Cebu, and warm-toned reddish-brown Taupe for Davao. The collection launches this July 13 and will be available exclusively at the MAC Cosmetics flagship store in Lazada

Kylie Cosmetics Comes Clean

Remember when kyliecosmetics.com was shut down for a while? Well, that’s because they were preparing for a big announcement. Kylie Cosmetics is the newest brand to join the roster of clean and vegan beauty brands. Yes, they’ve reformulated all their products.

“This means no animal oils, parabens or gluten, and we banned a list of over 1,600 other ingredients from being used in products, but made sure everything has amazing pigmentation and performance,” shared the brand. The new Kylie Cosmetics is coming this July 15.

100 Years of Chanel N°5

When you think of fragrances, it’s impossible not to think of Chanel N°5, which is celebrating 100 years this 2021. To mark the occasion, Chanel created the Factory 5 Collection - a limited-edition collection featuring 17 products inspired by their iconic fragrance.

What are those products, you might ask? Three shower gel iterations, two body lotion iterations, body oil, body cream, soap, bath tablets, sparkling body gel, eau de parfum spray, l’eau spray, l’eau purse spray, l’eau purse spray refills, a water bottle, decorative tape, and a mystery box!

And that’s it for this week. See you again next Friday!
