My top 10 finds last August
The month of August flew by for me. If you asked me what I did, I would be hard-pressed to remember. I had to scroll through my Instagram to see what I've been up to! I suppose I've just been having way too much fun. I spent time with my friends (if you knew me just a year ago, you would know this is NOT something I used to do), read fascinating graphic novels, played tennis, did workshops, and attended the usual beauty events.
September will be more of the same. In October and November, I will be traveling again! Guess where I'm going! Well, this won't be much of a challenge, since y'all know what my favorite place is. ;)
But enough chit chat. I thought you might want to see a quick run-through of my best beauty finds last August. These are pretty good ones too, in that some have made it to my daily routine. Here goes!
Photo Filter Creamy Powder Foundation and the CC Spot Concealer (P1,950 and P1,200 respectively). I play tennis at least three times a week, and this foundie/concealer combo helps me not look like a mess even after I've played for two hours. I love how both offer heavy coverage that doesn't look or feel like a mask.
Yadah Auto Gel Liner Good Bye Smudge (P395). The black liner totally caught me by surprise. It's so dark and matte! It makes my eyes look especially sharp and dramatic - you have to see it to believe it. It barely smudges on me, too Such a great find for P395.
Yadah Auto Lip Crayon (P375). This Korean brand is definitely worth a closer look. It's fairly affordable, and the products will not disappoint. I like the Lip Crayons too because of their trendy colors matched with a creamy texture. Plum Burgundy is a go-to red lately!
Benefit the POREfessional License To Blot Stick (P1,100). In my perfect world, I can retouch my makeup while walking and without having to look in a mirror. The License To Blot Stick helps me realize that world, and I am thankful every time.
Tony Moly Lovely Eye Brow Pencil (~P200). I like how the reddish tint of this pencil matches the red in my hair. It's smooth and very easy to apply too!
Shiseido Speedy Perfect Whip Cleanser (P550 locally). This is a pretty good facial wash! It cleanses throughly without drying my skin. It's cheaper in Japan so have your friends bring back a few bottles for you next time they visit. ;)
Kracie Hadabisei All in One Mask (P795 for 40 sheets). Yup, I love Japanese skincare, obvs. The Kracie mask is a toner, softener, serum, and moisturizer in one. It saves time and product if you just want to slap something on quickly before going to sleep. It leaves my skin refreshed and glowing, as if I actually layered several products instead of just one!
Bioré Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50 PA++++ (P420). Ahh, my HG sunscreen. I never leave the house during the day without it! Its ultra-light gel formula is cooling on skin and acts as an excellent makeup base. I am definitely buying this when I run out.
Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi (P1,685). This is legit, guys. If you want to soften callouses and get rid of flaky bits on your feet, the Scholl Express Pedi is your machine. Just remember to use it on absolutely dry feet and to clean the roller head after every couple of uses to get the best results.
And that is that. Care to share youR fave finds last month as well? ^_^
