My Dashing Diva Birthday Sparty

The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to have deep friendships that can stand the test of time. It's not about knowing a lot of people who can help you out when you ask, it's about a few knowing what is wrong even before you say it. I'm glad to have finally realized who these people are in my life, and having the courage to trust the new ones who come by. My life is better and richer for it. ^_^

On my 27th birthday, I decided to spend some time with a few people who mean a lot to me. Almost like kismet, Dashing Diva emailed me a few days before and asked me if I wanted to try out their Party Package and I was like, YEAH of course! Honestly I rarely ever have my nails professionally done but when I do I go to Dashing Diva. I love the ambiance and the service. 

I invited a few of my beauty blogger friends: Shari, Tina, Shen, Julia, and Tara. I wish I could've asked more people but DD's space is designed for intimate gatherings. So for a baby shower, bridesmaid bonding, birthday blow outs, or just a relaxed catch-up with a few friends, it's perfect!

We all had champagne and a box of TWG macarons thanks to Nikki Martel of Beauty Bar (love her). The pampering began with a soothing hot soak, a thorough scrub, paraffin wax (where our limbs are encased in warm, moisturizing wax infused with essential oils), and finally had our nails painted with our color of choice. Dashing Diva has a line of gorgeous polishes that last a fairly long time - I wore mine for a week! 

While the diva treatment was happening we were talking our heads off. Beauty, boys, and love were our topics of choice haha. We also got to choose a film to watch (The Proposal with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds!) and screeched at that scene where they bump into each other naked. LOL! We had such an amazing time.
