FOTD: Copped the Bobbi Brown Sea Pearls Look

It was love at first sight when I saw the promo materials for Bobbi Brown's latest collection, Sea Pearls. The look was perfect! The coral pink blush and lips whispered dainty, while the big lashes and shimmery green shadow flashed drama. It was a great study in contrasts, with such an elegant output. Of course I had to copy it!

I initially wanted to do the full smoky eyes yesterday but I ran out of time, so I came up with a modified, simplified version of the Sea Pearls look. I also don't have the full collection which is why I used other brands - but I have the exact same blush! It's amazing. I mean look at it. Coral Pink is my current favorite blush!

To achieve dewy, natural-looking skin, I used the Bobbi Brown BB Cream, concealed whatever needed to be concealed with MAC Studio Finish, then topped everything with a thin layer of Ben Nye Banana Powder.

I patted on the Bobbi Brown Pink Coral Blush after doing my base. I love this blush because it stays on my skin forever! I've worn it for about eight hours and it still stayed pretty solid, with only minimal fading.

For the eyes, I drew a thick black line using the Bobbi Brown Jet Black eyeliner. I smudged to turn it into a base, then covered it up with a shimmery green eyeshadow from the Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Emerald Cut (used #3). To finish the eyes I used The Balm Mascara Noir; it gave me thicker lashes and a fringy length.

The lips, of course, play a key role in this look! I'm darker than the model so I can't get away with such a pale coral lip. Instead, I used a browny coral shade like the MAC See Sheer as a base and then a topped it off with the Lancome Gloss in Love in 146.

Now that's a winning combination. ;) Hope you love the look! Try it out some time, the colors are perfect for Asian skin. You can go all out and wear the green/taupe smoky eye, or do my version which is quicker and more appropriate for conservative situations.

Let me know what you think ok?
