Kérastase Cristalliste Shampoo and Serum
If it's a hair product that says "fine hair" and "shine" then you can count on me to try it. My main hair concern is how flat and thin it is, and on top of that it looks dull. So when I received the Kérastase Cristalliste Bain Crystal Shampoo and Lumiere Liquide Serum I knew they would be well worth the risk of breaking out (I get pimples from hair products).
Indeed they were!
Let's start with the shampoo. The Kérastase Cristalliste Bain Cristal Shampoo (P1,200) is for fine, long locks and promises free-flowing and lightweight hair (btw there is a variant for thick hair). True enough it doesn't weigh down hair - it feels quite like baby shampoo, as a matter of fact. A more fragrant and expensive version at that.
What the Cristalliste Shampoo does that baby shampoo doesn't is it removes product build up like a dream. Do you ever feel like sometimes your hair is so greasy and heavy even though you wash it every day (or every other day)? It's because all the gunk you put on it do not really get washed off completely. Other brands have a full line of products just for clearing the hair, but the Kérastase Cristalliste can do the job in one wash.
Another thing I love about it is that it sort of "reveals" the color of my hair. The first few times I used it I obserbed that the highlights I got last September showed up again! They looked faded out already but this shampoo made the color stand out once more. People were even asking me if I had my hair dyed.

I also noticed that my hair is shinier and more volumized. However, with the volume came the frizz. -_- I have to use more serum and sometimes even holding products just to control the frizz. I also noticed bumps on my temples and forehead but only when I use it for extended periods of time - say two to three weeks. I'm thinking that this shampoo is better to use as a clearing and brightening solution; something to rinse my hair with once or twice a week.
And here we have the Kérastase Cristalliste Liquide Lumiere Serum (P1,300). It's actually a lot like the Kerastase K-Ultime in Millennium Rose in terms of the watery texture. It doesn't weigh down hair (well that is the goal), never feels greasy or smells off once the heat starts beating down on it. It doesn't moisturize much compared to the K-Ultime line of products; it's really more for giving hair that extra shine and bounce versus conditioning it.

It comes in a 50ml glass bottle. I thought this is the sample size, but apparently there's only the 50ml available here (please correct me if I'm wrong). That's good because at least you won't have to fork over P2,000 for a bottle. It takes forever to finish a Kérastase serum, in my experience!
You should definitely try this serum if you're looking for something that doesn't feel oily or heavy on your hair (and hands). ;) I didn't get any breakouts from it so I'm confident enough to recommend this even for sensitive skin.
Overall, I love the Kérastase Cristalliste products I've tried so far. It took me a while to figure out the shampoo, but I did find out that it's a wonderful clearing/brightening product. I will continue using it. The serum is also pretty good and not too expensive. Go for it if you're looking for weightless shine on your hair.
