Stress, shift dresses, (formerly) ridiculous rompers

Today is one of those days when everything moves at a terrible speed. However I'm happy that I'm on top of things and have been able to accomplish all my tasks! I even got to step out for an Artdeco lunch - I couldn't possibly miss it as Artdeco is one of the few brands I've been using since college. There's a new collection out (called Butterfly Dream) and I quite like it.

I'm on Instagram! When I'm in the mood I go crazy documenting things

Anyway! I want to talk about stress (and a few outfits but that's gonna come in later somehow haha). My method isn't that complicated but it works because I know it's 100% true. Are you ready? I just think that everything will be over soon. They usually are.

Tory Burch bag / Zara heels / Tiangge dress / Casio watch

If something is causing me extreme amounts of pressure, stress, or anxiety I just think how it's not going to last forever. I force myself to stay calm and do what I need to do until I get through the problem. Is there any other way to solve things? Freaking out and giving up is easy but it won't get us very far.

And that's how I remain an optimistic and level-headed person even though I shouldn't be, considering my workload.

CLN dress / Ferretti pumps / NAVA denim jacket / Louis Vuitton Alma

Anyway, allow me to segue to shift dresses. :P I love these things because they're flattering and elegant. There's a stall in Fashion Market tiangge that sells ridiculously cheap shifts like that black and white number above for only P350 - I don't know the directions but just walk around and you'll see dresses like it hanging on one wall.

CLN (the shoe brand) also sells amazing shifts like the blue chevron print dress in the second outfit photo. They're a bit pricey at P1,500 to P2,500 but when you find something you really like I think the tag is more than reasonable. I can't count how many times I've worn that dress!

Folded & Hung romper / Forever 21 jacket / Ferretti wedges / Louis Vuitton Alma

And here's the final look. In my last outfit post I said that my style has settled down and I don't experiment anymore. Well, apparently that ain't writ in stone. I saw this romper from Folded & Hung last week and loved how it fit me, even though all the other rompers I've tried before look ridic on me. The fabric is also super light and absorbent which makes this piece a perfect choice now that heatwaves are striking everyday!

I'm rambling, I'm sorry. We'll be back to makeup posts tomorrow! How have you been? Wearing anything new?
