Oily girls, listen up! I have a great reco for you: the Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Cream (P978). It's a long-lasting, water and oil resistant BB cream that has SPF50 to boot. It's ideal for those days when you need to hustle under the sun for long periods of time - super useful here in our country where summer is the default weather.

I'm really diggin' this product, and here's why!

Coverage and finish. The Sun BB Cream has a medium to heavy coverage. It can hide minor blemishes and eyebags - really useful for those who have far from perfect skin. The finish is quite matte (not flat though) and very smooth. Just remember to blend it very carefully to avoid uneven coverage.

Shade selection. There are three shades available, Light Beige (for fair skin), Natural beige (fair medium), Sand Beige (dark medium). The one I have, Natural Beige, is roughly two shades lighter than my skin upon application but it settles down to one shade lighter. Am I bothered? Not so much. The shade difference doesn't show in person, though pictures taken with flash tell otherwise of course.

I can live with Natural Beige but I think Sand Beige is more ideal for my skin tone.

But it blends in nicely and settles on my skin only a shade lighter.

Texture and lasting power. The texture of this BB cream is quite thick so it's difficult to spread even with the sponge applicator. Just spritz on a face mist on your bare skin before working it in, or use your hands instead of the sponge.

On the up side, the thick texture is the reason why this lasts so long even when I get sweaty or oily. The Sun BB Cream doesn't fade or slide off even during the hottest of days.

Oil control. It has really good oil control! After I set it with powder, I can go on all day without having to retouch. Note that I have combi-oily skin so it might be different for those with super oily skin.

I love using the Etude House Sun BB Pact with this. They work well together!

Packaging. The sponge applicator is useful if you don't like getting your fingers caked with makeup. However, if you don't want to waste product, you can actually remove the sponge tip to reveal a pointed spout.

Recommendations. The Etude House Precious Mineral Sun BB Cream is great for girls with oily and troubled skin, you know, something to use for long days at school or at the office. It looks fairly natural and smooth even with the heavy coverage.

If you're going to have photos taken though, I suggest you use a foundation with little to no SPF since this has a white cast.

Verdict. Great stuff! The SPF50 is the real clincher for me. I also like that I didn't break out with this and (this is weird) my skin even feels nicer after I use this. I don't know! Suffice it to say, this goes straight to my regular rotation. I will probably get Sand Beige the next time I drop by Etude House though.
