VMV Hypoallergenics Red Better Spot Corrector

No matter how well I try to take care of my skin, I still break out a week or two before my period. Sometimes I get puny pimples that are easy to manage. But sometimes, like last week, I get red and angry cystic pimples on my chin or temple! Ugh. I need to see a derma for this hormone problem soon.

In the meantime, I've come across an awesome pimple treatment called the VMV Hypoallergenics Red Better Spot Corrector (P400 for 8 grams).

It's part of VMV's recently-launched Red Better line. Red Better is designed for those who suffer from rosacea, but while the rest of the line is for dealing with irritation all over the face, the Spot Corrector is specifically for inflamed acne. Oh, sign me up. I used it as soon as I got it.

I hate suspense, so here's a before and after photo of my horrid cystic pimples!

Before and after

Actually, I already used the Spot Corrector twice (evening before and morning after) in the before photo. The acne was much worse the night before! This is a less red version so you can only imagine. After three days of usage, the deep cystic pimples have dried up completely. How's that for a miracle?

Don't you just love macro? There's a bit of redness left, but that's new skin surfacing. You can see that the skin is completely flat.

What's so amazing about it is that there are no dark blemishes left over. The acne just scabbed and then fell off, revealing new, scarless skin. Sure you can see where the blemishes were, but the marks are faint.

Do expect a mean sting when you apply it on your pimples. I say, just grin and bear it!

Overall, the VMV Hypoallergenics Red Better Spot Corrector is awesome because it works. It works fast and you don't need a lot to completely cover up your pimples. It doesn't dry quickly though, so don't lie down until after, say 30 minutes upon application. You also can't use this under makeup since it's a little ointment-y, if you know what I mean.

And that's it. You must check this out if you're acne prone. Don't forget to do a patch test first though, because you never know what you're allergic to until you try it. ;)
