Beauty Bar now in Bonifacio High Street

I fell in love with Beauty Bar in college. There was a big shiny branch in Robinson's Ermita, right in front of my university. I swear I would spend hours every week just looking at their stuff! Yeah it was a little embarrassing, seeing as I rarely bought anything, but I couldn't stay away. It was my special place at a time when I was just discovering the colorful world of beauty.

When I talk about myself from all those years ago (well, barely three years ago) it's like I'm talking about an entirely different person. Today these opportunities are open to me and sometimes, it's hard to believe that's it's all because I blogged. I feel giddy that one of my favorite stores invited me to visit their new branch. I feel good that if I want anything from the store, I can buy it without batting an eyelash.

I'm not bragging ha, I'm just looking back with a twinge of pride that I've come this far. :) Anyway! You can now find Beauty Bar in Bonifacio High Street, on top of Muji. The place is breathtaking - it's well-lit, spacious, and luxurious-looking. There's even a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in one corner, which spills out to an al fresco area that looks over to Serendra. Do I sniff a new hangout place?

I love that it's quiet and not (yet and hopefully never) run over by squealing kids and loudmouthed adults. Okay that's a little mean, I'm sorry, but don't you just hate it when people practically shout in coffee shops? How hard can it be to keep your voice down in a coffee shop? Yes, it's a pet peeve of mine. I hope no one discovers the CBTL in Beauty Bar, ha ha. (...oops)

Another fab feature of the store is Dashing Diva. The international nail franchise offers luxe manis and pedis, as well as an exclusive selection of nail colors that you can purchase separately. I had the Spoiled Diva Pedicure while I was there. It involved exfoliation via scrubs and dermabrasion (they have this neat Clarisonic-like tool to smoothen your feet and legs), and of course a pedicure with my color of choice. That was 40 minutes of bliss!

Say hello to Martha's feet!

After my pedicure, I roamed around the store to check out the new releases at Beauty Bar. What caught my eye: Fairydrops, the latest Japanese brand to hit our shores, Alicia Silverstone for Juice Beauty, and Dual Sided Brushes by Japonesque.

I bought the Dual Sided Brush in 130. Will review soon!

Beauty Bar gave me these five products to review. Using the cleanser and it's really nice.

Daintiest powder compact ever. It feels just like paper.
