St. Ives Blemish and Blackhead Control facial scrub

I had high hopes for the St. Ives Blemish and Blackhead Control scrub (P195). I have too many blemishes lately and I'm desperate for a solution! On a visit to Purebeauty in Serendra a couple of weeks back, I bought this intriguing product to see if it's any good.

It's not. It makes my face feel amazing  - but the downside is, it makes me look like total crap. Yep, it broke me out, which is weird because it's supposed to have salicylic acid. My blemishes started looking more enhanced for some reason and my pores somehow got bigger. Freak out. I just used it three times.

Well, I'm now recovering from the pimples after I stopped using this. I'm really disappointed and I badly wish it could work for me because of how smooth my skin felt like after washing, but I guess we're not meant to be.

Oh, I have to mention that the scrub beads are quite large, so if you have thin skin, it may be too abrasive. If you have this and if it agrees with you, you still have to be careful when using this on your face. Scrub gently in small round motions.

Will I buy this again? No.
