 1. It can instantly boost your mood.

Have you ever heard of the “lipstick effect”? Lipstick effect is the theory that in the event of an economic crisis, lipstick sales go up. From the consumer’s perspective, it’s the least expensive form of luxury and a way to make them feel like they’re splurging on themselves, without the actual expense of a bigger purchase.

Now that we are in a global health crisis, turning to makeup can be an effective way to make you feel good.

2. It’s a form of self-love.

Following the first reason, wearing makeup is a form of self-love. If it makes you feel good, especially during a time like this, then by all means go ahead and do it. At the end of each day, we’re all we’ve got, and we have to prioritize our own well-being.

For example, wear a different lipstick for each day of the week or maybe perfect an eyeshadow look you’ve been meaning to try.

7. You discover products in your collection.
