What went down at the Rustan's Beauty Addict event
Last July, Rustan’s The Beauty Source held its biggest event of the year: Rustan's Beauty Addict. For one day a year for five years running, the beauty department of the luxury store gets transformed into a wonderland of food, freebies, and promos!

It was my first time to attend this year, and I found that the event truly lived up to its name. Many of the beauty brands offered special activities that day that allowed beauty addicts to take home some samples, deluxe sizes, or even full sizes! The activities ranged from anything as simple as posting pictures on your social media accounts for freebies to more engaging games such as ring tosses and puzzles. I’m not skilled at tossing rings or shooting balls into cups but some brands were still generous enough to give out samples for effort. Addicts could also try their luck with roll-the-dice, spin-the-wheel, or just by drawing lots. Each brand had their own gimmick so there was something for everyone! My favorite activities for that day was the chance to customize my own hand sanitizer in Neal’s Yard, a DIY bag charm activity from Sisley Paris, and the brow express service from Benefit.

As if the freebie galore wasn’t enough, there was also an hourly raffle for products and gift certificates. All attendees were eligible, no purchase necessary! Shoppers were in for a real treat, though, because many brands had promos and sales for that day only. A few brands even slashed their prices by as much as 50% off.

The event was also a chance for addicts to try out the latest products from our favorite brands such as the NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment, a long-wearing, smudge-resistant yet lightweight liquid lipstick, and L’Occitane’s Aromachologie line, a haircare line made up of nourishing oils and no silicone.

All Beauty Addict members can earn points for every purchase which can be used to redeem gifts, plus members can also get invited to exclusive beauty events such as the annual Beauty Addict Event!
Beauty Addict is a really fun way to find out what's new at beauty counters and try brands that you haven't previously. With so many brands participating, it was impossible to go home empty-handed. I honestly can’t wait for next year!
