Quick Rave: Love Beauty And Planet Volume and Bounty Shampoo is a godsend for fine hair

First things first: I apologize that my bottle of the Love Beauty And Planet Volume and Bounty Shampoo (P390 for 400ml in Lazada) is so grotty and old in the photos. There is literally only 10% of product left inside this bottle because I’ve used it pretty much everyday since I got it! I didn’t plan to write about this product let alone rave about it and yet it has been a part of my life ever since it launched last March. It is time for me to break my silence on this gem of a shampoo!

Y’all know that I am least adventurous when it comes to trying out hair products due to my ultra fine hair. The wrong shampoo, conditioner, or spray will instantly deflate my hair and show off my naked scalp to the world. That’s how fine my hair is. I’ve previously tried the LBAP shampoo with the pink label (the Blooming Colour Shampoo with Murumuru Butter and Rose) and instantly - pardon such a strong word - hated it. It was the first LBAP product I tested; I was unhappy with how it made my hair so strangely sticky and horribly flat.

Enter the Volume and Bounty Shampoo. This sulfate-free shampoo is fabulous on my thin hair and always keeps it so volumized and fluffy, without drying it up! It’s a clear shampoo that has clarifying properties. I’ve been a huge fan of the Celeteque Clarifying Shampoo since 2014 but have noticed that they changed their formula. It’s been making my hair so, so brittle. I always had clarifying shampoo in my rotation since my scalp gets oily and I sometimes use hair spray. I can’t tell you how happy I am that this LBAP shampoo came into my life because it clarifies, volumizes, and keeps my scalp happy. I’d even say my scalp is less oily now.

I also fell in love with the sweet coconut scent from the get go. I also love using the matching body wash (also Coconut Water and Mimosa flower) to get me in a good mood. The scent doesn’t really stay more than an hour but it’s enough to give me a more pleasant bath time! I mean, it is as basic a body wash as body wash can get, but the scent is lovely and it lathers beautifully with only a small amount of product.

I also have the Volume and Bounty Conditioner but I just find it okay. I still prefer using the Himawari conditioners, if I must use conditioner at all.

My only gripe about the LBAP shampoo is that it doesn’t seem to have rolled out in all their stores yet after three whole months of launching. I’ve checked two Rustan’s and a PCX but they only carry the first variants LBAP came out with. I’ve had to purchase more bottles in Lazada pa. They don’t even have it in Zalora or BeautyMNL.

ANYWAY. Yes, try the Love Beauty And Planet Volume and Bounty Shampoo - it’s seriously good!
