Rave: Why the MAC Love Me Liquid Lipcolour is a must-have
It’s been a while since I’ve been literally thrilled by a lipstick collection. You all know how I feel about brown lipstick these days, so to see a line that’s full of luscious jewel tones makes my heart do a little dance each time I pull out a shade to wear. And so, let me present to you the new MAC Love Me Liquid Lipcolour (P1,421 at Zalora), which really should be in your makeup armoire ASAP!
This liquid version was released just last month by MAC Philippines, although the Love Me Lipstick bullet formula has been around for some time now. I honestly think the Liquid Lipcolour is wayyyy better than the bullet - it’s rich, opaque, moisturizing, and long-wearing (a solid 10 hours if you don’t eat). Even though the colors are all intense, it never bleeds! There’s no need to prime lips, use a balm, or layer with lip liner.
This formula has a satiny finish that makes lips full and luscious. It also doesn’t settle into fine lines and is very forgiving on chapped lips as well. It’s “stretchy” too - it doesn’t set solid, so it will always feel a little emollient but not annoyingly so. Expect transfer on cups and such, but the formula will hold. If you eat, expect a strong even stain afterwards.
I love all the shades, yes, even the brown-y ones. As you can see they’re all pretty bright and works well with my skin tone. Heck, even the Been There, Plum That shade is beautiful to wear! It’s grungy, a little editorial, but still very much wearable with some liner and lashes.

My top top TOP shades would be Tres Blasé (a sweet nude pink that doesn’t wash me out), Adore Me (the PERFECT red for me), and Hey, Good Looking! (a searing hot pink). I love the rest too but these are the ones that I feel would be signature colors for me moving forward.
And that’s it. If you love lipstick and are looking for a little excitement in terms of shade and dependability in terms of formula, you can’t do better than the MAC Love Me Liquid Lipcolour. Trust me on this!
