‘Tis the season to smell lovely with gifts from Jo Malone’s holiday collection

To gift someone with a fragrance is a move that is both intimate and powerful. It’s a strong statement to make, but nevertheless true. Specific scents are intertwined with memories, like a place you visited in your childhood or the scent of a loved one. So when someone gives you a fragrance to celebrate a joyous occasion or to mark a milestone, the mind builds a connection that links that particular fragrance with the giver and the moment. In short, the gift of scent is a surefire way to make a lasting impression!

Making the holiday gift-giving more vibrant, memorable, and fragrant, Jo Malone London has set out to cap off 2017 with giftables that are sure to wow the special people in your life. Granted, these are definitely splurge items, but your loved ones are worth it! So if budget permits, these picks make for a standout treat.

Those who can’t get enough of their favorite home fragrances can grab a box set of three festive scented candles (at 600 grams each) in Pomegranate Noir, Frosted Cherry & Clove, and Roasted Chestnut. This set goes for P41,000. They also have ceramic ornaments for P2,600.

There are two limited edition scents to commemorate the season. The Green Almond & Redcurrant Cologne (P7,800 for 100ml) and ceramic candle (P12,000) is all about a fruity warmth with a mix of cedarwood and tonka at the heart, and redcurrants and citrus for a tart, zesty kick. For the frosted forest feels, the Pine & Eucalyptus collection features candles (200g for P3,800 and 2.5kg for P26,600), a diffuser (P5,530), and a room spray (P3,950).

An old favorite comes back in new form just for the holidays. The limited edition iteration of the Pomegranate Noir cologne (P7,800) comes with a bottle decked in black-and-white stripes, plus a gold cap to stand out in the vanity.

For the loved one who has yet to find their favorite Jo Malone product, there are numerous “sampler” sets to choose from, containing deluxe sized, travel-friendly assortments. The Cologne Collection is a 5-piece set of 9ml fragrances for P6,800, whereas the Cologne Intense Collection variant retails for P8,700. The Christmas Miniature Candle Collection features five 35g candles for P5,700. For the body care buffs, the Body Crème Collection has three luxurious 50ml jars for P5,200, while the Christmas Miniature Soap Collection goes for P2,150 for 15 pieces. For those who want to sport an interesting blend of scents, the Christmas Cracker Version 1 (P2,880) features three different scents, each in a different medium. The House of Jo Malone London set (P10,800) is the more elaborate version that contains six assorted items.

Those who love to layer their fragrances for longevity will adore the clean freshness of the Orange Blossom Collection (P6,500).

Probably the grandest, most thrilling choice is the Advent Calendar. At P26,000, you get a mini chest of drawers that contains 24 days worth of surprises, including deluxe sizes of colognes and candles.

While the classic packaging will never go out of style, playful prints take center stage for holiday wrapping options. British fashion designer Jonathan Saunders created the look with his signature retro-inspired touch. This provides the perfect cherry on top to an unforgettable gift.

Have you finished your Christmas shopping? What are you treating your loved ones to?
