Skin is in my friend

We did a little dance of joy when Happy Skin Cosmetics said they were going to venture into skincare; after all, we already love their skin-friendly makeup formulas! With all of the amazing products that the proudly Filipino brand has come out with, we knew that they would put the same care, thought and ingenuity behind their Happy Skin Beauty range. And boy, did they deliver! With two new skincare ranges, we can now achieve happier and healthier skin in just a few steps. The Anti-Aging Series offers three products for targeting premature aging as well as offering brightening and regenerating properties. The 3-step routine includes the Hydrating Facial Wash (P599), Time Reversing Serum (P999), and the Regenerating Moisturizer (P999).

Meanwhile, the Oil Control Series is perfect for those with oily, combination or acne-prone skin. Formulated to combat excess oils, clean pores, and gently dry up breakouts, this is the perfect 3-step system for problematic skin. The Soothing Gel Facial Wash (P499), Mattifying Ampoule (P999), and Oil-Controlling Moisturizer (P899) are infused with vitamin C, salicylic acid, and centella asiatica extract, making them light and non-greasy! Get your Happy Skin Beauty series in any Happy Skin store, or order on their website here.

(Back)talk Dirty to Me

It’s all coming up roses! Aside from the amazing summer glow you’ll be sporting this month, how about a romantic, ultra-feminine makeup look, too? Taking some major inspo from one of their best selling Vice lipsticks, Urban Decay took the rosy Backtalk shade and created the ultimate pink lover’s dream palette. Despite the existing NAKED 3 (which is pretty rosy), this palette is filled with rose golds, pinks, and neutrals. The Backtalk Palette ($46) is a double decker beast with eight eye shadows on one side and four blushes/highlighters on the other, so it'll make for the perfect travel buddy for your summer trips, too! Ready your wallets for the March 8 release!

Halo Beautiful Skin!

We’re used to seeing YouTube beauty gurus partner up with makeup brands to create their own line of makeup products. From eye shadow palettes to lashes and highlighters, it’s nothing new when our fave online personality launches a product. So when a guru steps out of their comfort zone and instead creates their own brand/company, we’re intrigued. Tati Westbrook (more popularly known as GlamLifeGuru) has announced the launch of her company Halo Beauty, and her first product isn’t what you would expect it to be. Centered around holistic beauty ideal, Tati’s first launch is a beauty vitamin called Hair Nails Skin Booster ($40). Completely vegan, paraben-free, gluten-free, and cruelty-free, the beauty supplement claims to help give your skin that “glow from within.” The internet seems divided on this with some fans loving the idea and others finding the vitamin way too expensive. Would you buy Tati’s vitamins? Check out the Halo Beauty website here.

Saving the sunset

Nobody does a pigmented palette better than Natasha Denona! Granted, her palettes do cost a whopping amount of money, but tons of reviews and articles have all praised just how fantastic they are. If you’ve always wanted to try a palette of hers but can’t afford to drop wads of cash, we’ve got great news for you! Following the high demand for her popular Sunset Palette (P7,320), the brand is now launching a more affordable option, focusing on a couple of shades from the palette. The Mini Sunset Palette ($25) will feature five brand-new shades inspired by the full size palette, and will still have the same quality of color payoff and blendability of her signature shadows. You can expect the mini palette come March 8 on Sephora!
