How to feel about NARS?

Many perfectly groomed and styled brows shot up when NARS made a big, controversial announcement the other day. Despite marketing themselves as a “cruelty-free” brand, the brand posted a photo on their Instagram explaining that since they are now available in China, they are now bound to Chinese laws and regulations when it comes to cosmetics distribution and production, including testing on animals. They also reiterated their stance on the need to abolish animal testing altogether and their support for research on cruelty-free testing methods.

The Internet went crazy as fans and loyal customers posted comments of disappointment and anger. Many described the move as a "moneygrab" rather than a sincere desire to "bring [their] vision of beauty and artistry to fans in the region". NARS has yet to respond to the backlash and calls for boycott. We'll keep you updated on the developments but in the meantime, what do think of this decision?
