Beauty News Roundup: The Too Faced fever, Pat McGrath's ruby lips, and Chanel Le Rouge

It may be rainy season but things are sizzling up as the beauty world brings you some red-hot products to watch out for! Prepare your makeup bags (and your wallets) as things are going to get spendy and trendy with all the latest goodies. From new formulas, to exciting collaborations and gorgeous runway looks, this week’s Beauty News Roundup is nothing short of fierce, feisty and fabulous!

Too excited for Too Faced

Known for their adorable tin packaging and deliciously scented palettes, Too Faced is at it again with another new release following the success of their Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Palette. Co-founder Jerrod Blandino has already revealed the Sweet Peach Glow Palette, the latest highlight palette we just can’t wait to get our hands (and noses) on, and now he’s teasing us with another addition to Too Faced’s fun and fruity collection.

Meet the “Papa Don’t Peach” face palette: a tiny tin of peachy goodness that’s predicted to be officially released later this year. Other than actually smelling of peaches, not much else is known about this palette (and no other photos exist as of this writing) but makeup mavens are betting on a revamped version of the classic Papa Don’t Peach blush that Too Faced released years ago.

And the fun doesn’t stop there! This just in: the latest and hottest pairing is about to make history - Too Faced has just announced their collaboration with Kat Von D! With her already successful line of makeup products and palettes, the tattooed beauty guru is at it again with a #bettertogether collaboration with Too Faced! Two halves become one heart (literally, with the help of magnets): the pink and gold Too Faced side features six pastel and neutral eyeshadows and their coveted Better Than Sex mascara, while Kat’s black and silver side includes six smoky and vibrant shadows plus her famous Tattoo Liner in Trooper! No word yet on when this match made in makeup heaven will be released but count on us to plot this on our to-buy lists!

Wonder water

If you think the US beauty scene is crazy, Korean cosmetics and skincare is on a whole other level. We’ve come to expect that every release features some new ingredient or unheard-of technique that drives K-beauty fanatics gaga. So when they release a product that seems so ordinary, so plain, so “regular,” well, we get curious.

Sephora’s latest best selling product is Korea’s own Son & Park Beauty Water, the $30 multi-purpose bottle of awesomeness. It’s every busy gal’s dream product: a gentle toner-lotion-water hybrid that’s perfect for priming the face, removing makeup, and even as a refresher for post-workout sweaty skin. Thanks to its main ingredients, willow bark and papaya extract, this water-like formula gently exfoliates the skin as well, keeping you glowing all day!
