The Gift Guide: New Suesh Brush Sets for beginners and pros

I never fail to experience a rush of panic whenever it hits me that it's only a few more weeks before the year ends. I start thinking about the things I've done, the things I haven't done, and the things I want to do. I feel that time is running out - but that's partly because my birthday is in February. OMG. Next year is just around the corner. Have you done well in 2015? Are you happy with how you've spent it?

But we're getting way ahead of ourselves. Christmas is even nearer, so here I am again with the third Project Vanity Gift Guide! I have some lovely brush sets from the Suesh Holiday Collection. These are nice to give to your friend who's just starting out with makeup and needs tools for applying products on the go. There's also a beautiful set that's more for advanced users - hand it over to your makeup artist BFF or to yourself if you love the case and the brushes! Check 'em.

The Suesh Holiday Collection Gold Kiss Brush Set (P295) features vegan Korean taklon hair that is recommended for sensitive skin. It has a brow brush, a sponge applicator, a powder/blush brush, eyeshadow/concealer brush, and an eyeliner/eyebrow brush.

The Suesh Holiday Collection Salmon Brush Set (P300) comes in a cute, almost passport-shaped wallet which should fit nicely in any handbag. It has a powder/blush brush, eyeshadow/concealer brush, eyeliner/eyebrow brush, sponge, and brow brush like the gold set. It really comes down to color and pouch preference if you have to choose between the two!

The Gold & Black Brush Set (P380) is my favourite among the pocket sets. It comes in this uber classy black quilted case, and has a good heft to them. The synthetic hair is also softer and more dense compared to the first two sets! The brushes are also different. It has a blush/powder brush, eyeshadow/concealer brush, mini bullet brush for smudging eyeshadow or shaping lipstick precisely, an eyeliner brush, and an eyebrow/eyeliner brush.

Finally, Suesh also has this new Back to Back Brush Set in Hard Case (P1,200). It comes in a container that looks like a mini train case! So stylish. You can use it to protect other makeup as it's quite sturdy. This set has five double-ended brushes, which makes it ten technically.

You get a foundation/fluffy powder brush, foundation/concealer brush, a an eyebrow/eyeliner brush with a spoolie, an eyebrow/eyeliner brush with a pointed bullet brush on the other end, and finally an eyeshadow brush paired up with a blending brush.

The problem though is obvious - there are two foundation and two eyebrow/eyeliner brushes. Hmm. Trying to rationalize it. In my head it's so that you can get away with not having to clean them all the time since there are doubles in the set. I'm not sure if that's intentional.

So there you go! ^_^ Who among your loved ones do you think will appreciate these sets?
