Best liquid lipstick award goes to the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lip Potion

Liquid lipsticks ruled the beauty universe this year, and the reign continues with the new Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lip Potion (~P1,300). I have tried all sorts of liquid lippies this year - but believe me when I say, with absolute conviction, that THIS IS THE BEST I've tried so far. The best. It's highly pigmented, long-wearing, volumizing, moisturizing, and lies completely flat on the lips. It feels absolutely weightless and hugs the contours like a snug glove.

The texture is light and like I said, lies flat on the lips. Other liquid lipsticks feel silicone-y or like a thinned down gloss (still has the glossy feel), but the Estee Lauder Lip Potion feels almost like how your normal lips would feel like with barely any lip balm. The color is intense in one swipe yet it doesn't bleed.

Staying power is remarkable. I wore this at 9AM today, and at 1:35PM, after breakfast and lunch, it's still a strong, solid stain! Some parts like in the middle of my lips faded but rubbing my lips vigorously together re-distributed the remaining color evenly. 

As you know I just came back from cool weather and my lips are actually chapping right now. They're dry and flaky (even with repeated swipes of the La Mer lip balm), but this lipstick makes my lips look freakin' fabulous even with no lip balm. It fills in lines and has this unearthly, expensive-looking sheen to it that surprisingly shows no shimmer! IDK what's in this potion but it works and looks like a dream!

 I took the lip swatches yesterday, FYI. If you look really closely you'll see the flakes on the bottom lip, but they're almost invisible!

The shade I have on is called Fragile Ego. It's a hot, blue-based pink that can brighten up any smile. I like how the color whitens my teeth - blue-based lip colors typically do that!

The catch? Hmmm. Right now I can't think of any. It's expensive, but it's worth the price IMHO. The Lip Potion is absolutely comfortable to wear, it stays on, and looks like a million bucks on the lips. I find the packaging a bit plain but the curved, precise applicator more than makes up for it. It distributes the formula so well.

You know, I think I may have almost 400 lipsticks currently, but I just might buy the MLBB shade in this line. It's just that good. I highly recommend it!
